SECRETARIAT BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AT THE MEADOW
MARCH 24-26, 2017 at the VIRGINIA HORSE FESTIVAL
It’s our big bash for Big Red, who was born at The Meadow in Caroline County, VA on March 30,1970. Come celebrate with the Secretariat Racing Team and Groundshaker, the champion’s great-great granddaughter. Also meet Mia, the mighty mini and our own “Little Big Red,” who proudly wears the Meadow Stable colors.
Highlights include: autograph sessions and special events with the Secretariat team; narrated tours of the Meadow Hall galleries and exclusive Chenery Collection; “Big Red on the Big Screen” movie night; special pre-Derby chef’s dinner and Silent Auction of special Secretariat memorabilia; extensive selection of Secretariat merchandise in Exhibit Hall; photo ops with the World’s Largest Horseshoe; and some exciting announcements! ANOTHER EXCITING EVENT:
Special Screening of the film “One Day” at Meadow Hall on Sunday Feb. 26 from 2- 5 pm with producer Victoria Racimo. This is the true story of Our Mims, a champion race horse who inspired the founding of Our Mims Retirement Haven in Kentucky. The event is a benefit for the James River Chapter of the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation and our Historic Barn Restoration at The Meadow. More info here.
